Montreal EX main-event photo recap!

The Montreal EX was awesome, just as everyone expected it to be. If you didn’t go, well it sucks to be you, because you missed the best chance ever to see your enduro heroes go bar to bar in front of 60,000 screaming spectators! The 30-second board is up, so lets get on the gas with some of Rob Paladichuk’s photos from Saturday night’s EX main event!

Before the race Polish FIM World Enduro Star Bartosz Oblucki looked to be the man to beat aboard his FP 300 Husky two-stroker. He was obviously feeling very confident.

Brown (311), Nemeth (32) and Giroux (801) blast their way into turn one, leaving a wake of destruction behind them.

Machine Racing Yamaha’s Brian Wojnarowski did well at his first ever indoor endurocross race, learning the ropes and riding smart on his way to a ninth place finish.

Hungarian Kornel Nemeth hammers past Quebec’s Phillipe Chaine on their way into the Montreal Olympic Stadium forest.

Jason Thomas had some problems with the tire section, getting hung up and needing a boost from a track worker.

Oblucki made his way around the carnage and continued to hunt down Nemeth and Brown.

Smile Ben, you’re on TV! Ben Rego recovered from a first turn traffic jam and pushed his way through the pack, impressing everyone with his aggressive riding!

The ‘swimming pool’ was slick, but not slick enough to slow down Flyin’ Mike Brown.

Julian Cerny is another MX to off-road Pro convert, combining both skill sets to power his KTM to a very impressive fourth place!

Does this guy look stoked! FP Husky’s Ryan Graffunder had one of the best rides of his career, finishing fifth!

Rego has risen from nowhere to take a place amoung the Canadian off-road elite. He wanted to be on the podium at Montreal so bad he could taste it…if only the race was a few more laps! Still, for a rookie privateer on a beat-up bike his charge from the back of the pack to sixth place was incredible! When someone finally steps up and puts this guy on works-level equipment heads will spin!

KTM’s Kornel Nemeth wanted more as well, hoping to repeat his winning performance in 2009 but having to settle for second place.

KTM Canada brought Mike Brown up from the U.S to race Montreal and was not disappointed! Brown not only won the EX class by over 25 seconds, he double-classed it and finished 10th in the MX1 Supercross-class!
