Third time's the charm

Munchkin was out on the dirt bike for just the third time ever tonight. She’s passed a barrier and is now buzzing around on the PW80 in second gear, standing up in the attack position and eagerly tackling more difficult challenges. I’d like to take credit, but I have to admit Derek Schuster and Liam O’Farrell at Gopher Dunes gave her a head start on proper riding technique that I couldn’t hope to match.

Here’s a couple of photos, mostly to boost the ‘cute factor’ of www.offroadmotorcycles.ca to an all-time high.

Count the fingers. Ten laps without eating dirt! You have to admit, that’s pretty impressive! Photo by Dan Paris

“I think I’m ready to try standing up,” she told me. Five minutes later she was burning laps in second gear, wide open and in the attack position. Photo by Dan Paris

Before long Moto-Munchkin wanted to try the trails in the woods. I had visions of her whiskey-throttling herself into a tree,  but she made it though the easy stuff no sweat. Photo by Dan Paris
