Ant Hill Classic, Lake Conestogo, Moorefield Ontario

News Release From: K-W Cycle Sport Association

Round 5 of the WEC Regional Cross Country Series for Ontario

This is the last round of the spring cross country race series and may well be the deciding round for a number of the point races.

The course preparation is well on the way the length of the course will be around 25 km.  We have reintroduced a section of trail that has not been used for 4 years, many of us consider this 6 km. section the very best trail on the whole course.

We have also removed about the same amount of nasty burned out trails. As usual we will have our good mix of tight single track, fast open forest trails and good amount of grass track sections.

This will be a fun course for all to ride, but the faster you ride this course the tougher it becomes.

Unlike the previous four rounds the Ant Hill Classic does not run a split program all classes except the Mini and Pee Wee classes will start at 12:00am. the Mini and Pee WEE classes will start at 10:00am.

As with the previous rounds we will use the electronic scoring system provided by WEC which will help ensure timely and accurate results

With the help of our sponsors Apex Cycle Waterloo and Royal Distributing we are looking forward to fun and successful event for all.

A special thanks needs to go to the Grand River Conservation Authority who make this unique property available to us, but please remember that this is private property and is only available this one day July 11-10.
