Shane Watts has been busy teaching his Dirt Wise Schools at the Apex Ski Resort in Penticton, BC the past couple of days. The sold-out schools are very popular with the students, and it’s obvious that Watts enjoys teaching them. The classes touch on all the facets of off-road riding technique showcased in Watts’ DirtWise dvds, and when I caught them the class was in the middle of ‘slow wheelie’ lessons. Watts is an amazing rider, everyone knows that, but he’s also a great instructor. Here’s a few random shots from this morning’s lessons.

There were a few low-speed falls during the wheelie lessons, but nothing serious. Watts somehow has the ability to be everywhere at once.

Attentive students and an entertaining instructor make for some very productive classes.

It’s interesting to watch how effortlessly and smooth Watts’ rides, especially in a classroom environment.
