Press release from KTM Canada, 10/31/10

On August 28-29th, Patrick and Any went to La Tuque for the enduro round of the FMSQ championship.

Patrick had a bad time during the first day when he got lost during the special test!! He finished in seventh position overall and was confident for the Sunday race. Fortunately, he had a very good race on Sunday and finished in third position overall tied with the second place!! Patrick who really likes enduros, was satisfied about the quality and diversity of the track, hills, beach, sand, rocks etc.

Any had a bad time during the first day too. The ladies loop was short an easy but she lost herself in a tight section and there were just 2 sections to ladies’ class to determine the fastest girls. She finished third. Sunday, she decided to race in the junior’s class which was using the expert loop to pass some tricky stuff because there was not enough of challenge in the ladies loop. She had a lot of fun and a lot of challenge in the deep ruts, sandy and rocky hills during this day.

Francis was not able to participate to the race cause an injury hand. He will be back in race at Victoriaville next weekend.

Les 28 et 29 août dernier ce déroulait la manche d’enduro du championnat FMSQ, à La Tuque, QC.

Patrick s’étant perdu dans le spécial test durant la manche du samedi, il ne pu terminer plus haut que la septième position. Par contre, il restait très positif pour la course du lendemain. Il a eu une très bonne course lors de la manche du dimanche, finissant en troisième position!! Patrick, qui aime beaucoup les enduros, était très satisfait de la qualité et la diversité du parcours, composé de côtes, de roches, de sable et de plage.

Any a eu une mauvaise course le samedi se perdant elle aussi dans une section serrée. Elle a finie en troisième position chez les dames pour cette journée. Le lendemain, elle a préféré s’inscrire dans la classe junior afin de pouvoir rouler le même parcours que les experts, trouvant que le parcours des amateurs était beaucoup trop court et sans difficulté. Elle s’est bien amusée malgré la difficulté du parcours dans les côtes abruptes en sable et en roches.

Francis n’a malheureusement pas pu participer à l’évènement du à une blessure à la main. Il sera de retour en course à Victoriaville la fin de semaine prochaine.
