Offroadmotorcycles.ca goofs off before heading to Labelle CEC

This already crazy week is switching to high gear for the Labelle, QC CEC this weekend. We’re heading out to Quebec soon, but here’s what you missed yesterday.

Pretty much the entire www.offroadmotorcycles.ca Niagara crew went with Ben Rego to Welland MX yesterday evening for a birthday bbq and play riding session. Unfortunately the old Can-AM popped it’s cookies. Back to the drawing board…

I should mention that the Can-AM gave up while trying to keep up with Ryan Rainville’s cool new pitbike.  At least I had the pleasure of running Rainville off the track once…

Matt McCarthy showed up to rip around with us, but ended up spending most of his night spinning wrenches on other people’s bikes…

…like Jamie West’s CRF250X. We dis-en-neutered it for Labelle in search of hidden power, then spent hours trying to get the thing jetted properly. Speaking of dis-en-things, some engineer at Honda needs to be disembowled for hiding the carburetor in such an inaccessible location… Thanks Ryan Rainville for the jets and Matt McCarthy for helping to weasel them in there!

As expected, Ben Rego made us look like spodes in our own backyard.

Cogent Dynamics http://motocd.com/ finished building a new shock for the foo-fighter. Rob Paladichuk delivered it just in time for me to use the bike as a photo mule while we’re in Quebec covering the CEC.

And with that, it’s off into the rain on the road to Quebec. See you at Labelle!
